 What a cold weekend! No problem for Viv, though, it's just another great day for a Cat Fact! CAT FACT: Cats have a unique way of showing playfulness. Wow! - They may chase toys, pounce, or bat at things with their paws! Meow! Viv was looking a little bit chilly, so we snuggled her up in a blanket, as always!

Meow! - This is because they have a large number of taste receptors specifically dedicated to detecting amino acids, the building blocks of proteins!

CAT FACT: When a cat is feeling threatened or scared, it may puff up its tail and arch its back! - The stripes on its tail may become more pronounced and jagged in appearance. Wow! - This is a defensive posture that signals to potential predators or threats that the Kitty Cat is ready to defend itself if necessary. Meow! What a sleepy Cat Viv is!

Halfway through the week is another great time for a Cat Fact! We hope all the CatFacts.ca readers are having a great week! CAT FACT: The Primordial Pouch can indicate the overall health and nutrition of a Kitty-Cat. Wow! - It can become bigger, or shrink, depending on the cat's weight and body condition! Viv is fast asleep! What a long day of napping.

Tabby Tuesday is one of Viv's favourite days of the week! We hope all the CatFacts.ca readers are also enjoying such a Cat day.  CAT FACT: The word “tabby” originally referred to a type of silk made in Baghdad  - The silk had a striped pattern similar to that of tabby cats! Wow! Here's a funny picture of Viv! Looking silly today. 

Monday Cat Fact

 Another week, another day of snow, another Cat Fact! Viv is back again today with another thing to learn! CAT FACT: When a cat is happy and content, it will often hold its tail upright with a slight curve at the tip  - The stripes on the tail will be evenly spaced and well-defined when they do this!  - This is a sign that the cat is feeling relaxed and comfortable in its surroundings. Meow! Viv had a sleep-in today!
