Feline Friday!

Welcome to our favourite day of the week here at CatFacts.ca! Once again it's FELINE FRIDAY, and does Viv ever have a fun one for you today! And best of all, we have our second CatFacts.ca reader submission! That's right! More Cat-Pics!

CAT FACT: Cats have extra organs that allow them to taste the air!

- This special organ is called the Jacobson organ and is located on the roof of their Kitty-Cat mouth

- The way Cats use the Jacobson organ is called the "Flehmen response". It involves opening their mouths slightly and wrinkling their upper lip to facilitate the detection of pheromones! Wow!

- The Kitty-Cats detect pheromones and other scents associated with mating, territorial marking, and other social behaviours

Viv's new Feline friend today hails from Canada, check out Endo! What a cool Cat! Viv says she is willing to bet that Endo likes Cat Facts too! Here's a few Cat-Pics of Endo getting up to what he does best! Meow!
