 It's Feline Friday! Viv hope's all the CatFacts.ca readers are Feline alright! CAT FACT: The part of a cat's brain that controls vision is highly developed, which makes sense given that cats are visual hunters - The superior colliculus, a part of the brainstem responsible for visual processing, is well-developed in cats. This allows them to quickly and accurately track prey, even in low light conditions. Wow! It's getting warmer, but Viv stays warm always! Meow!

Tabby Tuesday

Viv's back again for another Tabby Tuesday Cat Fact! Hopefully everyone is enjoying the new spring weather! Meow! CAT FACT: A tabby is any domestic cat (Felis catus) with a distinctive 'M'-shaped marking on its forehead - They also have stripes by the eyes and across their cheeks, along the back, and around their legs and tail, although these traits can change by breed -  "Tabby" is not a breed of cat, but a coat type seen in almost all genetic lines of domestic cats, regardless of status Viv is not a Tabby, she's a domestic shorthair! Wow!

 Hello to all the CatFacts.ca readers and their Cats! It's Viv's favourite day of the week once again - Feline Friday! We hope everyone is enjoying some spring weather!  CAT FACT: Cats have a unique method of drinking called "pumping", Wow! - Kitty-Cats use their tongue to scoop up liquid, by creating a column of liquid and then closing their jaws to swallow Viv got a new green blanket, Meow!

 What a cold weekend! No problem for Viv, though, it's just another great day for a Cat Fact! CAT FACT: Cats have a unique way of showing playfulness. Wow! - They may chase toys, pounce, or bat at things with their paws! Meow! Viv was looking a little bit chilly, so we snuggled her up in a blanket, as always!

Wow! - This is a defensive posture that signals to potential predators or threats that the Kitty Cat is ready to defend itself if necessary. Meow! What a sleepy Cat Viv is!
